Dubais

Liam has started using lots of words in the last few months, and we've been having a lot of fun compiling a list of the words he says and how he actually pronounces them (coming soon to a blog post near you). One of the funniest things about doing this is trying to translate a repeated word or sound. It took us, for example, weeks and weeks to understand that "Taice" meant "Thomas" (as in, "The Tank Engine").

One such case was captured on video on Tuesday night while our friend Tyler was visiting.
Liam, for a while now, has really enjoyed climbing onto a stool his great grandfather made him for Christmas, then onto one of our end tables, and then leaping from the table onto the couch. This makes anybody other than Kurt and myself super nervous--we are just so used to it as he does this multiple times a day. Anyway, the other night, the whole time Liam was doing this (and also grabbing my hand, shoving at my legs, and trying to get me to move off of the couch to sit in other places so I wouldn't be an obstacle), he kept yelling something that sounded like "Dubai!" over the course of several hours. The three adults in the room, Tyler, Kurt and myself, discussed the possible meaning behind this at length ("Da bears!"? "You guys!"? "Move, please!"?) but were never able to translate it from Liam Speak to English.

Here is the video--do you have any idea what he's saying?
